Online Services

To Our Valued Customers:

In order to provide you with the best service possible we are working to enhance our online application and renewal processes as well as our online license search capabilities. However, to do so we ask for your patience while we perform our upgrade. Please note that our online renewal system will go down beginning at 6pm CST on Sunday, 07/17/16. In addition, beginning at 5:30 pm CST on Thursday, 07/21/16 we will not be able to assist you via telephone using our internal renewal system.  The enhanced online system and our ability to discuss your renewals via telephone should return for use on or about 8am CST on Monday, 07/25/16.

Therefore, we recommend that if your license expires in July you renew online immediately or use the printed renewal form you already have in your possession and quickly send in your payment regardless of when or if you have taken your required six hours of continuing education. If you need a replacement renewal form, please email your request to renewals@tsbpe.texas.gov  Requests for a replacement renewal form must include your name, date of birth, license/registration number with rank and current mailing address.

We believe you will find our upgrades well worth the wait. For questions or comments we can be reached at: info@tsbpe.texas.gov

Very Important: All fees paid online are non-refundable. Be sure that you meet all of the eligibility requirements for the type of application you are applying for before you pay online. For eligibility requirements you may view and print the applications at http://www.tsbpe.state.tx.us/applications-forms.html.

Instructions for Accessing the New Online Application System

To renew a license or registration, apply for an examination, or apply for an initial license (after passing an examination), or an initial Plumber’s Apprentice Registration online, you must first register for a secure online account with the online application system.  Please note that the Online Application System link below will open in a new window.

Online account registration is a one-time only process.  You will need a valid email address to register your secure online account, and this email address will become your User ID.

A temporary password will be sent to the email address you use to register your secure online account, and you will be asked to select a new password when you first attempt to login. If you do not receive your temporary password within 30 minutes, please check that it was not marked as spam and sent to your spam inbox.  You must enter the temporary password exactly as it appears in the email.

Once you have created a secure online account and logged in to the system, you may add your license(s) or registration(s) to your online account.  Please choose the correct license type. You must add all license(s) or registration(s) that you currently hold to your online account.

You will need the following information in order to add your license(s) or registration(s) to your online account:

1. Social Security Number (no dashes)

2. Birthdate (in MM/DD/YYYY format)

3. Zip code (must match the zip code of the address on file with the Board)

If any of the data you enter does not match the data currently in the system, you will not be able to add your license or registration to your online account and will need to contact the Board office during normal business hours.

Once you have registered an online account and added your license(s) or registration(s) to your online account, you may proceed with your online renewal application, examination application, or initial license or registration application.

If you are applying for an examination or Drain Cleaner, Drain Cleaner-Restricted, or Residential Utilities Installer Registrations, you must submit all documentation needed to meet eligibility requirements.  Please check the applications for specific eligibility requirements.

Note: If you have past criminal convictions, your application and the required documentation must be reviewed by the Board’s Enforcement Committee to determine your fitness to be licensed or registered.

Therefore, in addition to your online application, you must print and submit a completed original Supplemental Criminal History Information Form and all required documentation via regular mail to TSBPE, PO Box 4200, Austin, TX 78765.  Your online application will not be scheduled for review by the Board’s Enforcement Committee until we receive this required information.
